Just me and my friend

This is Harriet, from Crafty Sentiments Designs, taking advantage of some relaxing time with her best, cuddly teddy bear -- don't they look adorable sitting together on the bench?   I'm assuming they're in an outdoor, park area, so as you can see, I added some flowers and butterflies.   I've put some heart ribbon atop some lace along the bottom, added a filigree swirl behind the flowers, tucked a couple doilies behind my image and the upper dots are candi-dots.   Last of all, a sentiment from Lili of the Valley was punched out and foam-mounted, and that was my final touch to this feminine card.  Thanks so much for taking time out of your summer to come in and view my creation!

Mmm watermelon

I do believe that one of the coolest, lightest, most refreshing treats you can indulge in during the summer months, is ripe, chilled watermelon !!  It sure does appear that this Gerda Steiner bear is enjoying his big wedge of deliciousness !!   I kept the design simple, to keep focus on the adorable bear, as well as the ease of mailing.  Other than layering and coloring, it's just a random spattering of punched out hearts.  Okay, you're now excused to go enjoy YOUR slice of melon - or bowl, if you've already cut it up.

Help with the lights

Teehee, isn't this giraffe from Whimsy Stamps just the cutest -- I'm not sure if he was to have helped string the lights on a tree, or if he just wanted to decorate himself up!   I wanted him to remain the main focus on the card, so I did a really simple design - the upper corner is done with a punch.  He's been colored in prismas and I used glitter gel pens for the lights, and a bit of stickles on the snow, star and hat.

Happy snowman

Christmas in July - it's that time of year!   And, I see the Hobby Lobby stores are already stocked for the season, so there's no excuse not to have the needed supplies on hand.   This smiling snowman is a digital from Di's Digi Designs -- isn't he adorable?  I've colored with prismas and added stickles to the snow and also the snowman in places.  A strip of snowflake ribbon along the bottom and a variety of glittery foam snowflakes and this card is flat enough to be sent off in the mail with no problems, or loss of embellishments.

Star bright

This amazing digital image comes from Ching-Chou Kuik, and since their July challenge is monochrome, I decided on shades of yellow.  I've used prisma pencils/gamsol, then added glittery stickles to her stars.   I used glittery star brads for my flower centers, and the two dots are actually candi-dots, which makes for easy mailing.   A little yellow doily tucked behind, and this card is ready to be sent off.

Winter buddies

This adorable stamp comes from Lili of the Valley -- don't they look as if  they're the best of buddies.   The green background frames are done with glitter paper for some pizzazz, along with using stickles on the hat/snow.   The trees are some foam stickers that were already glittered.  I prefer the traditional green/red colors of the Christmas holiday.

On the beach

This little miss from Crafty Sentiments Designs is ready to enjoy some summer beach time - I hope she remembered her sun screen!    She's been colored with prismas, cut out, and then foam-mounted for a dimensional look.  I tore kraft paper to put along the bottom for sand, and added a bit of sparkle at the top edge.   I put a shade of gray on the anchor die cut, sponged blue around the die cut cloud edges, then foam mounted those, along with the sunburst and seagull.   (It's a bit of an overcast day here today, so the photo isn't the best, sorry.)
